Constitutional Monarchy

What is a Constitutional Monarchy?

It is a form of government in which a monarch acts as the head of state within the perimeters of a written constitution. Most employ a parliamentary system in which the monarch is the ceremonial head of state. The directly or indirectly elected prime minister is the head of government and exercises effective political power.

Contemporary constitutional monarchies include:

Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Japan, Luxembourg, New Zealand, The Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

Why a Constitutional Monarchy in Romania?

It is the ideal form of government for Romania's force of unity, cultural and political consolidation. It would give Romanians the identity they need and deserve on the international stage and especially one as a stable European country. More importantly it would put an end to the ongoing power struggles between certain tainted politicians in whom Romanians as a whole have lost all faith in.

Ultimately, it would ensure the functioning of the key institutions in Romania, something that is impossible under the current system.

A little bit of history...

Romania's most prosperous period occurred between the two world wars. It was one of strong political and economical stability that came during the rule of the Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen royal family. It was only after King Mihai of Romania was forced to abdicate (and was exiled) by the communists that it all started to go down the drain!

Bring back prosperity, stability, respect and last but not least HOPE to our great country and people!
